First recomendation - As somebody who has run many conferences on PC's, take a bit of time before you need to and make sure you know how to get on your wifi,t hat you can connect, that it works with your headset, etc. There's nothing worse then a few minutes before having to fins the button to turn on the WiFi or even worse the key combination because your cat walked across your keyboard.

There should be no problem in the airport for an audio conference. If it's a screen presentation too that may be a few seconds behind, but for the most part there should be no issues at all with it.

Any empty gate area would be quiet enough for the call. With a bit of luck you can get one near a power outlet too.
