Maybe the GA was on the rude but none of us were there to know for sure. You need to remember that the GA is responsible for getting the flight out on time and getting standbys and upgrades cleared. Often being alone to do both tasks. So if the OP shows up T 15-20 minutes out and the GA needs to board and clear the lists you cannot blame him/her for not wanting to deal with the OP right away.
Don't mean to bash the OP but hopefully this will be a lesson. Always plan on an hour before so delays won't force you to miss your flight. I've never understood why people act like spending 15-20 minutes waiting for boarding is like spending time in burning hell. If you don't have an AC/AC membership, go to a quite part of the airport, read a newspaper/book or listen to music to pass the time.
There were two GAs and boarding was essentially done - they were allowing on a straggler every minute or so but were otherwise twiddling there thumbs.
