Too bad, I really enjoyed all the rivalry between the Android users and the fan boys, as competition is really the only way to keep innovation going, but who would want to, other than geeks like myself, to be messing with ROMS, overclocking you phone, changing kernels and all the other cool stuff you can do, to get an iphone, which is pretty stable , albeit a boring UI?

It was a nice run though, certainly made 2010 an interesting year to watch the smartphone battles
There is no way this will slow down Android. By the time this magical CDMA iPhone appears, Android will have a very good piece of the market. Plus, it still won't be on Sprint.

Verizon has helped Android quite a bit, but they are by no means the driving force behind the platform. There are 100's of other operators using it, and even with an iPhone, plenty of customers will opt for Android over the iPhone. Especially phones like the Droid X and the Samsung Galaxy S. I say, bring it on.

Plus, this is at least the 100th time "analysts" have claimed the iPhone is heading to Verizon. I still don't believe it. Verizon is quite large, but I just don't see Apple completely redesigning their iPhone just for one operator.

My new rule is anything an analyst says about the iPhone is a lie. They make this crap up to get in the news.
