yea, +1, I am also just a lowly P . But love Marriott in Asia where the upgrades are suites, or large corner rooms almost all the time. That said, in chicago, probably less than 50%, but in other US cities + 50%.

I pretty much exclusively stay at Asian Marriotts, and have yet to be upgraded to a suite (as a Platinum member). Granted, there are only a couple of hotels that I cycle through, and as I travel single, the normal rooms are more than adequate for me.
