I only had 5 parking tickets in 35 years of driving. (1977,1986,1994,2004, 2008). 3 of them were for street cleaning. I paid them all. 4 were my personal car, one was friend's car.

I dislike all the "junk" fees that are added to rental cars. I have even rented off airport (SEA, AUS, LAX) to save a bunch on fees. The parking junk fee is over the top!
