Hmmm... I fly on L class fares 99.9% of time time, and this option was presented to me last Thursday at LAx and Monday at DFW.
On Thursday, I did the "Upgrade" option, just for grins and giggles, to see what it was like. Of course, being lowly Platinum on an L fare, my chances of scoring an upgrade are non-existant. But it was interesting to see the new options.
