I used one of the dining certificates at the Chateau Whistler last week. I ordered food and a glass of wine. The food portion was $22 - the server said the certificate cannot be used for alchohol (that is noted on the certificate so no problem but I have no problem having the total value of the certificate taken off a food and wine check before) but then she added it could not be used for the tax charged on the food. Wow, in my opinion that is being really cheap - after all the tax is part of the cost of the food. As the difference was only $3 I didn't make an issue of it.
