how to re-direct annoying schedule change calls to another number?
Sorry if this has been covered somewhere, but I've read and posted to the "Consolidated "Check Your Itineraries for Schedule Changes" Thread [2010 Version]" w/o a useful answer.
The automated calls informing me of a schedule change come to my home number, even though under 'My profile' and 'Flight notification' I had changed every number to my cell, which I can turn off. It happened again on Sunday morning at 8 am, for one of those silly inconsequential schedule changes. So I went back into 'My profile' and changed the number under 'Mileage Plus member information' from my home phone number to another number. But this morning, again at about 8 am, another inconsequential, automated, schedule change call came in on our home number.
Leaving aside the silliness of an automated call about a 10 minute schedule change when email would be more effective (especially if it described what the change was!), does anyone know how to shift those calls to another number? I'm at a loss, and wondering what I'm missing? I do have my home number still listed under the 'Billing information' tab, but am reluctant to change that, since that number is the one that the credit card company has linked to the account.
Would appreciate any advice!
