well never book such an early flight again

i am not sure if you have status or not that will help you go to the fast line. in general 1 hour should be plenty. i only ever fly jfk in evening on way home so don't know how bad the security line is in the morning. early evening i'm fine with 1 hour, late evening i can show up 35 minutes before and be very comfortable
