1. United 83 got caught up in the tornadic madness of ORD. The flight ended up taking a 6+ hour delay - in fact, it hadn't even arrived at the gate in HNL before I boarded my HNL-DEN flight.
The aircraft has to come from somewhere, and ORD being a/the major UA hub, a lot of aircraft in a lot of airports come from there.

And not sure what the weather has to do with UAUA. Or rather, what you suggest UAUA could have done differently about that inbound flight to make it arrive on time.
