Adding to all prior accounts, I can tell you that, in prior 3 cabin configs, they have called the front 2 cabins "F", but have treated different pax's tickets differently.

For instance, My mother and sister were given F award tix by me. When I picked them up in HNL, they told me they were put in J cabin, when I thought I had booked a seat with a low number (2 or 3) for each, many months in advance.

I didn't make much of it since it was an award and they were thrilled to get the seats to Hawaii. But...if I had paid full F for a seat to Hawaii and not gotten the F cabin, I think I'd be ticked off, especially if there were an employee or upgrader occupying the front cabin.
