This is very good to know, but I'm a bit confused. We're talking about award tix, right? And if so, does that mean that on an award that I could do SFO-JFK (two days in NYC)-LHR and the same in reverse?

I also assume that for paid tix the usual rules and restrictions would affect whether one could do this and what the fare would be.

Thanks for any clarification.
