Some of the information posted here is not 100% accurate. If you plan on using your BlackBerry for email, you'll need to get a SIM with BIS or BES depending on what you use. A simple SIM that supports data won't cut it. You will need a SIM with a BlackBerry plan on it.

If you use a regular old data sim, you will be able to use mobile web, google maps, ect However you will only be able to get your email using webmail and not the BB email application.
