Flights that come from mainland arrive (at Honolulu) at a different terminal than the ones leaving for other islands.
There is a distance to walk, some of it outside the terminal (can get warm) and I am not sure if you need to clear security again.
I would plan on a longer connection time; one hour is probably safer.
