Standby Game as EXP

Dear AA Senior Management,

On behalf of the AA ticket counter agents and your best customers (EXP):

While I can sincerely appreciate AA holding back some seats for revenue sale,

May I very respectfully suggest that you instruct ticket counter agents they no longer have to play the standby game with EXP's for flights departing in under 2 hours (assuming there are still at least 7 seats for sale on the flight) ?

Would it be so terrible to let the ticket counter agents use their good judgement and feel empowered in their jobs?

The current procedure 1)simply puts the ticket counter agent in an embarassing situation, 2) wastes time for both the gate and ticket counter agents, and 3)is very awkward for your best customers who are abundantly aware (normally) of how available the flight is prior to arriving at the airport.

Life is frustrating enough these days, and using a little common sense would help everyone. Not to mention increase productivity, enhance employee morale and greatly improve customer relations.

Thanks.
