I will have to disagree with this.
They're still bio-metric readers as far as I can tell. My husband and I regularly swap tickets to see if they will no longer work, and we've yet to be stopped or have an issue.
I have not heard anywhere that Disney is collecting fingerprints and tying them to tickets.
William - As for the tickets expiring, I got swamped at work and totally forgot to look into it, but I suspect they never expire and can be used to upgrade to a longer length ticket
