A metric week is an interesting concept. Our problem down here is that the trade unions got wind of it and threatened major stike action if it was introduced. So as a result, we have a really strange anomoly of a 37.5 hour week (some even get less). But the real benefit for those who have union-enforced jobs (I don't

) is that they get an extra 2.5 metric hour at the pub each week! The rest of us just get the job done, and spend the remaining hours pondering such trivialities as metric time and the speed of darkness.
