Well I found sad that you don't want to go to Mexico City because there is no beach, because it's a great city. In my opinion Puerto Vallarta was fine but Cabo is much better. I love, love Cancun and their airport is the second most "important" in all Mexico. They have flight to most parts of the U.S.
