Just bought an Iberia Codeshare Ticket from NCE to RAK via BCN, and NCE-BCN operated by Air Nostrum, BCN-RAK sector to be operated by Royal Air Maroc, have the following questions in mind:

1. Does your NCE-BCN-RAK itinerary has an IB code (IB8xxx on the NCE-BCN sector and IB7xxx on the BCN-RAK sector) and both segments were purchased at the same time (not as two different bookings)? If so, your baggage should be sent directly to RAK. However, this itinerary is strange to me, since IB's normal itinerary would be NCE-MAD-RAK, since BCN is not a connecting airport for them. I'm afraid this is one of the independent tickets sold as a single one by some travel agents (Expedia and so on), which in principle would not be possible. Nevertheless, if the tickets were purchased at the same time, it should work.
2. Yes, you can. The Aerobus from BCN's T1 to Plaza Cataluņa is only 30 min. You still have at least 5 hours to visit BCN.
