Air France or Lufthansa?

Until recently, I was living in Atlanta. Naturally, Delta was my airline of choice and I've racked up many hundreds of thousands of miles with them. After many years of flying Delta and, honestly, a blind allegiance to SkyTeam, I flew Lufthansa (intra-Europe) for the first time about a month ago. Everything was spot on. Though I was in coach, they still served a good little sandwich, and my transfer in MUC was about as easy as they could make it (with free coffee/tea in the airport, too!). I was blown away - enough to write Lufthansa and tell them I enjoyed the flight.

Anyway - this has thrown my whole allegiance to SkyTeam in question. Though I've flown AF many times, I dread connecting in CDG.

What do you all think? Have I been giving my money to the wrong airline? I primarily fly (paid) business class when flying across the Atlantic. I've got my first Lufthansa flight to the US coming up in Aug, so I should see the difference for myself. The only drawback I see is that I really don't like UA's international business class product (though that doesn't effect me as much over here in Europe).

Grazie!
