I was in Zurich on Saturday (Oct.12) and last Thursday (Oct.3). Both times I took the train to the city and back. The ride itself takes 10-15 minute and there is a train every ten minutes or so during daytime. Costs about 10 CHF. Very convenient and efficient.
Customs and immigration took no time at all.
