Thanks Brunos for your informed comments. I had no problems. I just find it ironic that there is no attempt at anything resembling customer service for people who spend thousands a month on biz class. I would have been fine with "oh, dea. you may have made a big mistake, etc. etc." Or something like that. But of course it was the same old dutch indifference.
Sine you seem to know the rules. Any ideas of problems with flying into a country without a return ticket, and not having a residence visa for this country? I'm being appointed to a new country and don't have a visa for this country (papers are in process). I've a USA passport, but I was thinking it would avoid a hassle to have a return ticket? Any idea on that policy now days?
