We've got this in a couple of months (PDX-HNL-ICN), with 2 hours between flights. Haven't been to HNL for over 5 years. Just wondering if we will stay inside of TSA or have to go out and back in? If we check baggage, will we have to claim and recheck? Finally, what clubs are still an option? (I know that the wonderful CRC is a thing of the past.) Thanks
I've done this (too) many times between west coast and Japan. I assume both flights are on the same ticket. Even if not, I'm sure that you check your bags at PDX through to ICN. You'll deplane inside of TSA and no need to go out and back in. Delta Club is downstairs near the Japanese garden. HNL is an open air design. Sometimes I enjoy walking it's length (not a huge airport) to get a touch of that Hawaiian atmosphere.
