Don't forget that if you fly into SLC and to the Park City resorts, you can get a free lift ticket for that day (Fast Start I think) at any of the three resorts (PCMR, DV or The Canyons). It's pretty easy to arrive before noon from East or West coast and be skiing by 1ish.
