I flew last Sunday from COS to SAT, had been notified of an upgrade, but decided to take an earlier flight out on standby. I just went to the airport.......got in line, asked about going early. Agent said there was no room in First but I could get in coach.....and there was no charge....not even a mention of a charge. Maybe silence is golden?
