I remember being in the First galley on the jumbo some years ago. The CSD had not instructed us to take our seats. All of the sudden the signals came on and then the CSD told us to be seated. I had to run all the way down to doors 5!
Thats happened to me on the 767... Getting a copy of the PIL from the CSD at D1 and we get the bongs. I had to leg it to D4, got in my seat just in time...
