Longstanding systems issue. The system only queries the MP database when you initially buy the ticket, capturing your current status. You just need to call and have them reenter your MP number. You'll want to do this before your UDU window, for sure.
I ended up getting screwed. I was 17 out of 22 on the waitlist and they had 5 seats for upgrade. I was on the waitlist as a 2P, not my actual 1P. the 5 seats went to 1Ps. I found this out after waiting an hour to speak to an agent who re ran my number and re printed my boarding which showed my true status.
Not sure if I would have got the upgraded but all seats were given away by the time I got to the agent.
I hope by Monday's flight it's fixed.
