These scanners sound like a nightmare: we traded a system where people could walk through a device to one where people have to stand still and raise their hands. Of course, the lines will get longer. And good luck with kids? Are they going to do pat-downs on all kids who cannot stand still?
Why do you need to raise your hands? The makers couldn't design one that worked with your hands at your sides? Really? If I hold my arms down and away from my sides the scanner will not work? Why not?
