If it were me, I would avoid AF [not that their J product is bad], because when redeeming miles to fly in a premium cabin, I like the notion of being one of the "primary" customers. On AF, you will be secondary to F customers

But that is just me, also CDG can be a nightmare sometimes and AMS is miles better...

Also, with fixed travel dates, I would strongly suggest you to look for availability out of SFO, LAX, ORD, etc... AS will fly you there to connect you onto your int'l flight.
