Hi.
Im flying from AMD-LAX. Have a 3 hr layover at JFK.
Arrival at JFK: 3 pm Qatar Airways Terminal 4
Connecting flight: 6 pm United at Terminal 7.
I wish to meet my fiance (she lives in NY) and hand over one of my bags to her at JFK. Will I have enough time to meet her provided I have to clear immigration first.
What would be the best place to meet? At Terminal 4 or Terminal 7?
And till what extent she can come inside the airport and meet me? Or do I have to walk out of the airport to give her the bag!
I have my flight in 3 days. please advice!!!

Once you exit customs you will need to follow the signs to the Airtrain and take any of the trains to Terminal 7. Terminal 7 is much smaller so I suggest that she meet you near the UA check in around 4PM (giving you an hour to deplane, clear customs, get your bags, and take the Airtrain to T7). Like anyother airport, she cannot go beyond the check in area. There is a Starbucks downstairs with some tables if the two of you want to spend a little time together before you need to clear Security for your UA flight.
