GP Award resort fees & taxes revisited in June 2010

The free night award is in lieu of the rate for the room, as this does not include taxes and associated fees. However, it is at the discretion of the individual property to determine if they choose to waive the taxes and/or associated fees.

I hope this information has assisted you in making your reservations. Thank you for your continued patronage to the Hyatt Gold Passport program.

I will be in Maui this summer on a GP Award as there were not any FFN's (surprise surprise) to be had and am specifically searching for this property as to whether to expect the $25 resort fee (based on the rate rules shown for paid rates) - note on all paid rates, the rate rules disclose a resort fee of $25 regardless of category of room booked; on GP redemptions there is not any resort fee identified - aren't they obligated to identify all charges such as fees in your rate?

taxes> at what rate are these calculated; I saw a $100 a night difference between the lowest available rate without any discounts and AAA (which I am legitimately eligible) per night

I'll call just before leaving to see what they say as well.

I'd be interested to hear from Karen if the "official" Hyatt GP policy is still the same as she posted above or if it has changed?
