I flew F MEL-SIN on A380 last month. The thing that surpised me about F being on the same deck (and using the same door) as Y was that the F pax had to line up with the large quantity of Y pax, and so the time it took to board was much longer than when I have flown the same configuration in J upstairs.
I'm not complaining about having to queue with Y pax, just that it took longer than I would have expected to board

What gate were they using for boarding in MEL?
For SIN flights they normally use gates 9 and 11 with direct lift access from the First Class lounge to the boarding level - bypassing most passengers.
