As for the waiting times to clear security and immigration..although EZE is not the best they certainly aren't much different from some International airports especially in the States.
What civilisation awaits at the other side? Certainly isn't the lounges.

Security and immigration are a pain at night time when all US-bound and Asia bound planes take off. Say (conservatively)... 3 WTM opened for 4-5 767/777 planes + other smaller departing in the 8:30-9:30 time frame. A few times, the security line extended all the way out to the chapel. You call that efficiency? Immigration seems marginally better. Many people 'forget' to fill out the form or wait till last minute. Never had to spend more than 5-10 minutes clearing security in the US.
Civilization is not in the lounges. Forget them.... Just the open space and the ability to move around is more civilized than being confined to a queue that moves at the pace of a snail. I prefer to stroll the Duty Free shop, have a snack in one of the bars and get my religious 30+ minute chair massage with Nadya. Her magic touch relaxes me so much that soon after boarding off to sleep I go. No need for drinks or pills. Unfortunately, they are out of EZE by the end of June. I got her card for house calls.
Life is beautiful.....
