As for the waiting times to clear security and immigration..although EZE is not the best they certainly aren't much different from some International airports especially in the States.
What civilisation awaits at the other side? Certainly isn't the lounges.
Glad you said a couple of those things first . I have had both horrible security and horrible immigration, but not both on the same trip. If security is very slow, immigration is generally going to have short lines. Why? (for the uninitiated) Because security comes first.

I usually seem to depart amongst a sea of Brasilians. I'm glad you said it. The lines seem to go slower when there is a sea of Brasilians. I do not know why.

I truly feel no real civilization (or even civilisation) at EZE until I am onboard enjoying my first pre-departure beverage. When I have time, I lounge hop as each one is a bit worse or better than the next, but none really wants to make you stay. (If I get there about the time the RCC opens, it is nice and quiet, and if I put the UA and AA olives up side by side, the UA olives might just win!)
