taxes $301.46 + 25 booking fee

Can anyone explain why the taxes were so high? I only have one leg on AC (YYZ-ORD) so I thought that would bring the taxes down.

Here are the details - I'm not sure how to read the Fare calculation section:
Canada Security Charge (CA) $25.91
Canada Goods and Services Tax (GST/HST #10009-2287) (XG) $1.25
