I never had any problems getting in with my QF Club card though I have had hassles with my QF Platinum card since the agents at AA lounges are dire at understanding of OW lounge access rules.

The regular QF Club card was easy, they understood it to be a paid lounge access program with reciprocal benefits.

The only proviso I would say with it is dont cough up for a lifetime membership in case they lose the reciprocal arrangement some time in the future, though would have no problems recommending 1,2 or even 4 year memberships.
