For finicky, read "rarely works." I've done this shuttle route a few times over the past couple of months and exactly once have I gotten the seat map to load. I don't really care much for an hour flight, but it is a bit annoying.
Rumor is that it works in IE8, but that does me no good at my office or at the BOS Hilton Execuitve Lounge, where I have no control over what browser I use.
