We did the flight in Y when my son just turned 4. Would we rather be in BF? Of course, but we didn't have that option on that trip. The flight was fine. Long of course and certainly it will be a little more difficult with a 2 y.o. who wants to get up and explore. Just be mentally prepared for the trip and you will be ok.
