I've always found Kingfisher's UDR (Udaipur, Rajasthan) - IXU (Aurangabad, Maharashtra) service somewhat 'odd'. They are both high profile tourist destinations (and not much more), but the fact that they are linked by a direct flight always puzzled me. There are hundreds of similarly popular places all over India that aren't considered worthy of a direct flight to other tourist cities.
