I'm not going to beat this to death: WN's unrestricted fares typically are $95-129 on my routes. What's a change cost? Probably $20! Add in a free flight after 4 r/ts, and you have a pretty attractive package.

You and I simply disagree, and that's all I have to say. You seem to be an apologist for AA's new policies. I fear that the new policies will make people like me, who number in the millions, abandon AA, and will spell the end of AA, which is a pity.

I guess we'll see which scenario plays out, and whether AA modifies this policy to provide slack for elite travellers, or somehow de-fangs their policy, or whether they sail on YOUR $100 into financial nirvana. I'm not buying any AMR stock.....
