That guy does something I've never seen anyone do: as each bag comes out, he reorients each bag so that it is lying on its long side with the side handle facing up. If the bag doesn't have a handle on its side, he still makes sure the handle is facing up. It fun to watch him in action when a whole lot of bags come out at the same time.

He told me that he was not told to provide this service, but he does it because he realizes that it is far easier to remove a bag from a moving carousel if the handle is facing up. I like it. ^
