If you're foolish enough to put any sizable chunk of cash into a 1.30% "high yield" savings/CD, I have some awesome Caribbean beachfront property you need to check out in Wyoming. I take non-refundable deposits via Western Union of $5,000. Hurry!

As some of you may remember, I was subjected to a financial review after I paid a secondary card holder of mine money I owed him via PayPal. The financial analyst at AMEX was able to see that I had a savings account with 150k (actually it's a 5.2% CD) with an average 6-month balance of 150k (interest earned is transferred into my checking) and it didn't affect Amex's view of me with other cards (i.e. increasing credit lines).

Your money could hang out on the street and earn higher than 1.3% For any of us over 5-years-old, these high yield offers from Amex and other companies are hilarious. I guess it's a sign of the times.
