I am aware that by starwood, elite benefits are only given when booking directly through them directly, I want to know what is the rule by Goldpoints program, as I am currently Silver, and booked through an online booking site and wondering if I can get the benefits, upgrades, late check out etc?

Also, I had booked a Radisson hotel for a cheap single rate, but my friend might come join me over there, will they let me her stay there? I believe that one of the benefits are double occupantcy for single rate, so thats where my first question also kicks in.
