Downplaying someone's career because it's in the service industry is downright ignorant.
I didn't see anyone here suggesting FA's are ignorant or uneducated. It's my sense that many AA FA's have completed four year degrees and use the flexible schedule to complete advanced degrees. FA's have a fair amount of "what if" training that they hopefully never use. Of course, much of the routine job is supposed to be service oriented, but that's another topic.
Kudos to the FA!
