They were desperate to get you enrolled at the time (for obvious reasons). Assume that these transferred to the Admirals Clubs today? So I should kick myself?</font>
Unfortunately (and as a holder of such a card myself), AA did not extend lifetime Admiral's membership status to the lifetime Ambassador card holders. First time to my knowledge ever in such a purchase where the airline did not own the other card.

And for the previous poster, sure the double miles and the upgrades are an incentive to fly. But you do not have to go out of your way to maintain your elite status.
