Well, I just cannot see AA taking this away from the people who have already worked very very hard for it, and demonstrated a heck of a lot of loyalty to earn it.

Let's think about it - 2 Million is no small change - no matter how you got it. I do think senior mgmt. is still smart enough to realize this - believe it or not..))

Yes, I realize that it included bonus miles, miles from credit cards, hotels,etc. - nonetheless, let's be real - most of us who have Lifetime PLT flew AA a heck of a lot to get there.

It would not surprise me though if bonus miles (from GLD, PLT and EXP) no longer counted towards it.

I just cannot see Carty ever telling someone who has shown this kind of loyalty to essentially "kiss off" through immediate revocation of such status. It would be a marketing nightmare for sure.

Also, per wording of letter I got last week, it says I have this thru the Lifetime of the PLT program - and I for one, do not ever see that ending.
