Does anyone know if LOT provides the benefit of free extra baggage allowance for intra-Europe flights for star gold members? I've called them to ask, but they don't seem very helpful. They asked me to call Poland to find out!

I have a ticket DCA-PHL-ZRH on US. Then ZRH-WAW on LOT. On the way there US Airways will check the bags through with no problem. But on the return I'm spending a night in Zurich, so I'm sure LOT will consider that segment an intra-Europe flight and their website says I can check up to 44lbs for free. I'm just wondering if they allow more baggage for free for Star Gold status?
