YMMV, but in my organisation (US based MNC) position doesn't come into it (not as far as the written policy goes anyway). In fact I've been in J whilst someone three levels above me on the same plane has been in Y (simply because at the time I was connecting from Australia on a throughfare via SIN, whilst those doing the short 2hr flight from SIN were only entitled to Y travel). Cabin entitlement is based on duration of flight, as simple as that. But F is not allowed for anyone.

Also suspect a proportion of F travel would be done by (net high worth) individuals actually paying for it individually.
