Getting out of downtown can always be fun (sarcastic). The 110 can be crowded and confusing, but you should be fine. The 101 through Silver Lake and Hollywood might be a bit slow, but it will definitely open up after the 405. The Valley Floor is almost always more clear on the West (marked North) bound drive, even at the relative rush hours. You can also reasonably take public transportation to Camarillo from downtown.

Hi, it depends a lot on the day of the week. generally, if you leave downtown after morning rush, around 9 or 10, you'll do better. probably best to take the 101 through Hollywood, San Fernando Valley on to Camarillo. You'll encounter traffic getting out of downtown, likely approaching the 101/405, perhaps some hit-and-0miss in the Hollywood and SFV areas. After Woodland Hills (and even before) it should be smooth sailing...unless there's an accident (AM radio 1070 for traffic reports every 5 minutes)
Can't recommend KNX 1070 enough.
