Really crappy luck?
Have been a Platinum (14 of 16 years) and Gold (2 of 16 years) with NWA ... since 1994 to 2009. Used to be upgraded approx 90-95% of time.
Will definitely be a Platinum in 2011 and possibly even get to Diamond status.
This year with DL as Platinum - have been upgraded 2 of 10 times!
Sure I am MSP based ... have been MSP based since Jan 2000 .... but it seems upgrades are just impossible to come by, even with DL Amex Reserve!
The fares are higher ... upgrades are difficult to come by ... and 'low' award (MSP-SIN-MSP or MSP-India-MSP) tickets are impossible to find.
May be forced to look at alternatives ... even though it means a connecting flight.
Will give this one more year for DL to sort out the 'integration' challenges!
